    Woot!! Detonator XP finally released!
    By Tessian September 10, 2001, 06:14 PM

I'm slowly downloading it now.. been waiting for these new drivers for weeks. I've been using the old Detonator2 drivers since I upgraded to Win2k.. hopefully this'll fix things.

Anyone else try it out yet?

Yeah, it was really slow downloading so I downloaded via ftp. Much faster. They work fine--UT doesn't slow down so much with vsync on (opengl). I haven't crashed yet so I guess they're stable.

Got them. All seems well played UT no problems. Let run 3dMark2001 see what I get.

    By Tessian September 10, 2001, 08:33 PM

you're all having better luck than me.. I put my Detonator 2 drivers back in cause the Detonator XP drivers slowed MechCommander 2 down very noticeably.

Ironic thing is, everytime I load MC2 I get a warning saying the game is unstable with my Detonator2 drivers... yet they have given me NO probs whatsoever.. as opposed to the Detonator XP's that were horrible... bah

    By Cipher September 10, 2001, 09:09 PM

Yeah, I just got them. Only took 1 minute to download. Boosted my 3DMark2001 score up 200 points too.

Um... pretty, are these the det 4's?????

    By Tessian September 10, 2001, 10:20 PM

yeah.. Detonator XP is Detonator 4. I can see how the name's confusing.. guess they jumped on the "XP" named bandwagon.

Windows 2000 & XP drivers in the same .exe,, I don't like that

    By ge_off September 10, 2001, 11:26 PM

    I jumped up about 100 points in 3dmarkmax 2000. Now for 2001...

    By Starchild September 13, 2001, 10:14 PM

They are an improvement or new drivers only for Windows XP?
