Yeah. It's one of those games you can't really beat or win sort-to-speak. I guess you really "win" when you figure out how to keep a steady job with a good income and lots of freinds. One aspect that seems lacking is the idea that you can't advance in your career without making a new neighbourhood friend. This seems almost, weasel-like in some sense but makes for harder game-play. If your one of those who likes to maybe build a virtual dream house or test out your own personal charm on virtual characters it's a neat game. Really does improve when you learn to customize with the expansions and downloads though. Again, a matter of taste. Some people are addicted to the game. One element is that in order to get an evolving character, you have to spend a looonnnnng time on the game. If you ever want to kill some time, the clock spins(real clock) with this game. I go back to it every now and then. It does seem repetitive once you get the basic idea.

I'm with you, I play games to get out of real life, I already have a job etc, don't need to work on a second one when I could be "gaming" hehe.

fun for a week? i was bored after about two hours.

maybe if they didn't blur out when a female sim takes a shower i would have had more fun with it.

they do make a nude patch you know.

    By tu2thepoo November 01, 2001, 03:24 PM

It's a little fun to download new skins and furniture from www.thesimsresource.com , but i got tired of that real fast. The problem is, there's so many un-real things in there that it bugs me.

    for example:

    time goes way too fast
there's no way to have a huge party without everyone getting all pissy (because they can't find the bathroom or some crap like that)
pathfinding sucks. i've had to scrap many houses because my sims refused to walk around a table, or whatnot
ahhh i'm too tired to list the rest.

    By Malbien November 01, 2001, 03:34 PM

very boring and tedious, only fun part was building the house. and its too damn hard to kill your sims.

    By TheUltimateNewbie November 01, 2001, 04:12 PM

Nah, the point is typing in rosebud ;!;!;! all day.

hmm.. where can i get that?

it would be cool if there was the patch that let you perform actions like rape, kill, etc.
