Sinistar: Unleashed is ultimately made up of the same elements that made the original so popular. Players will have to race through asteroid fields, nebulas and solar systems gathering enough crystals per level to make a Sinibomb large enough to destroy each Sinistar, which in turn will be giving chase to players throughout the entire game.

THq, GameFX's publisher, is currently being more secretive about Sinistar: Unleashed than Broussard and 3DRealms are about Duke Nukem Forever… and with good reason. The game could very well set the standard for all 3D shooters to follow. We do know that players will have the ability to choose from up to six ships throughout over 20 levels. Additionally, Sinistar: Unleashed will feature a multiplayer experience which GameFX simply states as being "insane".

Oh, and it's probably a safe bet to assume that Sinistar: Unleashed won't make use of those wonderfully cheesy "Beware, I live!" synthesized sound effects. You "experienced" readers know what we're talking about. Be on the lookout this spring.
