A few days ago, AMD announced their Athlon 1.2GHz and Duron 800MHz processors and thus the review embargos were lifted. We posted our reviews of the AMD Athlon 1.2GHz and Duron 800MHz and promised to update you fellas on the overclocking scene with a few nibbles about these two new processors and what we could do with them. Some of you folks that enjoyed the review, did feel a bit left out in the cold without any mention of overclocking and so we're here a few days later, with a bit more time on our hands to remedy this.

Sure, a lot of you aren't interested in overclocking a 1.2GHz T'bird, and if so there's no need to feel alienated. We'll show you that it's really quite easy to overclock any old Duron and/or Athlon "Thunderbird" and we're not forcing you to do it anyway. It's rare that you can get a little something extra for virtually nothing, thus we figured that the point of this excercise could be to show you just how easy it is if you're an AMD Duron/Athlon user not yet in the know.
