  • Yesterday we published the AMD 760 DDR Chipset Guide, which covered the features and performance of AMD's new DDR capable Socket-A chipset. The results we assembled showed some impressive performance gains (especially in gaming applications), but we did not get to go into as much depth as we would have liked. In an attempt to cover all of the bases and keep our readers as informed as possible, we have taken another 24 hours for trial and error, testing, and analyzing the performance of AMD's most promising platform yet (yes, another 24 hours of testing means we haven't slept for two days now – that momentary keyboard faceplant does NOT count!).

So now we are back, this time with a handful of Duron processors, a small screwdriver, and the imprudent bravery that haunts those who have ignored their body's plea for rest. We have run additional memory bandwidth benchmarks, taken a few more pictures, and even tried our hand at overclocking. Don't believe me? Check out our special cooling solution below!
